Kabuli hing (whole) is a premium form of asafoetida resin, obtained from Afghanistan, which is popular for its strong aroma and superior grade purity. Used in its raw form, it is ground or dissolved before cooking to release its rich flavour. Its tempering in Indian and Middle-Eastern dishes, improves their taste. It is also valued for its digestive and anti-flatulent properties. Makes dals, curries, and pickles easier to digest. We supply this ingredient in Zip lock stand up Aluminium doypack pouches to retain freshness.
May contain traces of milk, nuts (including peanuts), seeds (including sesame seeds & mustard seeds), cereals, celery, soya & gluten.
Store in a cool dry place away from sunlight.

This exceeded my expectations. Used it in a curry the same day it arrived and the difference was noticeable straight away. Five stars, no hesitation.
Solid quality for the price. Flavour is good, though not quite as strong as I expected. No real complaints.
Nothing special but nothing wrong either. Packaging was basic. Might try a different brand next time.
