Buy Szechuan peppercorns from Spicemart when making authentic Chinese dishes. Szechuan, Sezchua or Sichuan find no match as it stands out with a unique taste of its own-its not as hot as chilli and is yet not mild like pepper. Its bold citrusy fragrance is released upon toasting the peppercorns before grinding. They add a punch of spicy flavour to recipes and help create authentic Chinese, African, Oriental and European dishes. A staple in many traditional schezwan-style recipes, these peppercorns are perfect for elevating hearty meals.
Sealed product is handled on premises that processes milk, nuts (including peanuts), seeds (including sesame seeds & mustard seeds), cereals, celery, soya & gluten.
Store in a cool dry place away from sunlight.

This is exactly what a spice should taste like. Used it in a curry the same day it arrived and the difference was noticeable straight away. Highly recommend to anyone who cooks regularly.
Can't fault this at all. The flavour is so much better than what I've had from the supermarket. Five stars, no hesitation.

Average experience overall. Flavour is a bit milder than I expected. Might try a different brand next time.
Pretty happy with this purchase. Flavour is good, though not quite as strong as I expected. No real complaints.
