Zaatar Spice Blend is a fragrant Middle Eastern seasoning with an earthy, and tangy flavour. This spice blend is made from dried wild thyme/oregano, tart sumac, toasted sesame seeds, and salt. It is incredibly versatile and typically used as a seasoning for roasted meats and vegetables, or on flat breads. It works very well with oils such as extra virgin olive oil, mixed and applied over fresh flatbread. It is used to make the tasty Manakeesh baked to perfection and then spread on top of hot, crispy baked bread. Used in everyday cooking, it adds a herby, tangy flavour. Keep it handy in your kitchen for a dramatic warmth and taste to simple dishes, no need for anything else to garnish.
