Red Split Lentils are one of the most widely used quick-cooking lentils. They have a soft texture and mild, nutty flavour when cooked. They are mostly made into a dal to be eaten with white rice, but are also great in soups, stews, curries and thick sauces. No need to soak because they break down easily when cooked. Their smooth consistency means they can be used in a whole lot of different ways. To reduce cooking time, when making dals, you can soak for 30 mins.
Sealed product is handled on premises that processes milk, nuts (including peanuts), seeds (including sesame seeds & mustard seeds), cereals, celery, soya & gluten.
Store in a cool dry place away from sunlight.
