Spicemart Star Anise Powder is made by pounding dried Star shaped anise herb. It has a warm, sweet and liquorice-like flavour which adds a nice flavour to both sweet and savoury preparations. This powdered form is convenient for quick use and is common in Asian cooking. It is almost never used alone and with other whole spices such as cinnamon, cloves, fennel, ginger and cardamom. It is used in making masalas, biryanis and other dishes that need a strong aroma. In the pantry, keep it sealed tightly to retain its bold aroma.
Sealed product is handled on premises that processes milk, nuts (including peanuts), seeds (including sesame seeds & mustard seeds), cereals, celery, soya & gluten.
Store in a cool dry place away from sunlight.

This is exactly what a spice should taste like. The aroma when you open the bag is incredible. Highly recommend to anyone who cooks regularly.
Pretty happy with this purchase. Delivery took a couple of days longer than hoped, but the product itself is fine. Would recommend.
This exceeded my expectations. Used it in a curry the same day it arrived and the difference was noticeable straight away. Worth every penny.

Does the job. Similar to what I can get locally, to be honest. Would consider other options first.

Can't fault this at all. The flavour is so much better than what I've had from the supermarket. Already recommended it to my family.
